What is Frequency Specific Microcurrent?
Frequencies are electrical pulses measured in hertz or pulses per second. Microcurrent is a very low-level electrical current that is in millionths of an ampere.
Frequency Specific Microcurrent (FSM) is a treatment using microcurrent and the resonance effect of frequencies on specific tissues and conditions to reduce symptoms, encourage natural healing, and reduce pain.
How Does Frequency Specific Microcurrent Work?
Micro-amperage current is the same kind of current your body produces on its own, each different tissue has a “bioelectric” signature, a frequency that the tissue or organ is at when it is in a healthy state.
Resonance theory is about creating resonance, or coherence, between two energetic waves. The theory is that if it is possible to heal tissues with microcurrent, then the positive effects could be amplified by “matching” the frequency of the current to the frequency of the tissue injured.
Microcurrent has been shown to increase ATP (energy) production in cells by 500%, reduce cytokines that cause inflammation, increase secretions in various tissues including Substance P that reduces pain, improve oxygenation and cell repair, and boost protein synthesis by 70%.
Treatment with microcurrent is quick, non-invasive, and painless. Tens pads are placed on the appropriate areas of the body, and the currents used are so low that the patient often does not feel them.
